I learned beginning blackwork from Marion Scoular a few years ago with a reversible sampler. Since then I’ve done a couple of pieces showing shading of flowers and leaves, but there’s plenty of room for growth in my knowledge. I like blackwork in what I consider its two forms geometric and realistic shading.
