At my Embroiderers’ Guild of America meeting this week we discussed upcoming project ideas.
I learned beginning blackwork from Marion Scoular a few years ago with a reversible sampler. Since then I’ve done a couple of pieces showing shading of flowers and leaves, but there’s plenty of room for growth in my knowledge. I like blackwork in what I consider its two forms geometric and realistic shading.
There’s a sale at The Royal School of Needlework on November 5 and 6.
